Special Education Classroom Assistant Opening in the Plainfield, Illinois Area!

ProCare Therapy is currently searching for experienced Special Education Classroom Assistants for a position at a School District located in Plainfield, IL. Job Description:

• Full-Time Position

• Monday - Friday

• Location: Plainfield, IL

• Caseload Details: Elementary Age Group

• More Details Available Upon Interviewing!

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Support children during play and general activities in class and around the school, including those with mobility issues or behavioral problems. This may also involve helping with personal care needs such as toileting and eating.

• Assist the special education teacher in organizing and preparing materials for the day, setting up the classroom, and going over education plans for the students.

• Assist students with physical disabilities in the classroom with tasks such as moving around, sitting up, eating, or writing.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum Education Obtained: High School Diploma
• Illinois Para Educators License Required

• Reliable Transportation

• Experience and Passion Working with Children

• Ability to Pass a Drug Screening and Background Check
